OMPEA Successfully Held “Career Growth Talk” Seminar for Myanmar Youths in Japan

On 19 April 2026, the Overseas Myanmar Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association (OMPEA) successfully organized its fourth seminar, “Career Growth Talk”, through Zoom, bringing together Myanmar youths in Japan who are interested in career development and professional growth.

The seminar featured four Myanmar professionals from different industries in Japan, including healthcare, engineering, business management, and hospitality. Each speaker shared their personal career journeys, challenges they encountered while studying and working in Japan, and the lessons they learned along the way.

Participants had the opportunity to hear real-life experiences from:

Ms. Khin Pyae Phyo Lin, Operation Theatre Nurse
Ko Htet Ye Win, Assistant Commissioning Manager
Ko Min Khant Lin, Business Manager
Ma Myo Thiri Thu, Hotel Receptionist

Throughout the session, speakers discussed how they started their careers in Japan, the difficulties they faced in adapting to a new environment, the importance of language and continuous learning, and the mindset required to achieve career growth.

The event attracted Myanmar students, job seekers, and young professionals who are preparing for their future careers in Japan. Participants actively engaged in the discussion and gained valuable insights that are difficult to learn from textbooks or online resources alone.

OMPEA would like to express its sincere appreciation to all speakers and participants for making the seminar a meaningful and inspiring event. Through initiatives such as the Career Growth Talk series, OMPEA remains committed to supporting the personal and professional development of Myanmar professionals around the world while fostering a strong and connected community.

Together, we learn, grow, and create opportunities for the future.
