The “Business Essentials for Myanmar Business Persons” Seminar was successfully held.

On January 12, 2026, the Overseas Myanmar Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association (OMPEA) successfully organized a special seminar for Myanmar professionals and business owners residing overseas. The event took place at the Yotsuya Community Center (四谷地域センター), located in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo (87 Naitōmachi, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo). The seminar was attended by members of the Myanmar community in Japan who are actively engaged in business activities. Discussions focused primarily on the current business environment as well as future prospects and opportunities. Among the speakers, Mr. Yoshimichi Ishikawa emphasized the critical importance of maintaining healthy cash flow in business, the need to build trust-based relationships with banks, and the responsibility of contributing positively to the local communities in which one lives and works. Successful OMPEA–Suriya Joint Visa Information Seminar

A joint visa information seminar organized by OMPEA and Suriya was successfully held on December 27, 2025, at the Chiba City Culture Center (千葉市文化センター). The event was designed to share practical knowledge and up-to-date information on Japanese visas and residency status for young people from Myanmar who are living and working in Japan. The two-hour program opened with the reading of the agenda and a formal opening session. This was followed by an introduction to OMPEA by its President, Ko Kyi Thu Shein, and an overview of Suriya presented by Ko Aung Myint Thu Kyaw. The core of the event was a panel discussion held in two sessions, lasting approximately 50 minutes in total.
